FAQ

Frequently asked questions.

How often should a wall-to-wall carpet be cleaned?

A general rule: every 1–2 years. For allergy-prone households and homes with pets or small children, the recommended interval is 6–12 months. Regular vacuuming extends the intervals.

How long does the carpet take to dry?

The carpet is usually ready for use within about a day. Drying speed depends significantly on the room’s ventilation and temperature — in a well-ventilated space the carpet dries clearly faster; in a damper or more confined space drying takes longer. We recommend airing the room after the visit.

What agents are used in cleaning? Are they safe for children and pets?

We use professional-grade cleaning agents that are proven safe for children, allergy sufferers and pets. No residue is left on the carpet after cleaning.

What is the household tax credit and how does it work?

The household tax credit (kotitalousvähennys) is a deduction granted by the Finnish Tax Administration for work done at home. In 2026 the credit for cleaning and care work is 40% of the labour portion, and it is granted in your taxation. It is calculated automatically and indicatively in the quote. More information: vero.fi/kotitalousvahennys.

Is the carpet cleaned on-site, or taken to a cleaner?

We always clean wall-to-wall carpets on-site — you do not need to lift, transport or arrange anything. We arrive with our equipment.

Can I cancel a booked time after the quote?

Yes. A quote is always without obligation. You can cancel a confirmed time free of charge up to 24 h before the agreed time.

Does the quote cost anything?

No. The price estimate in the calculator is free, and an exact written quote is sent to your email within 24 h — with no obligation.

Does the service also operate outside the capital region?

Yes — to the north Nurmijärvi, Hyvinkää, Riihimäki, Tuusula, Kerava, Järvenpää and Hämeenlinna; to the west Lohja, Salo and Somero. Response time in these towns is 2–3 days.

Do you take photos in my home?

No. Your privacy is protected — we do not photograph, share or store anything from inside your home.

What if something gets damaged?

Our operating liability insurance covers the rare cases of damage. We notify you immediately and put the situation right.

Who comes on-site?

The same small team every time. You receive the worker’s name and photo before the visit — no subcontracting, no changing personnel.

Can a wall-to-wall carpet be cleaned on-site without lifting it?

Yes, and that is exactly how it is done. A wall-to-wall carpet is fixed to the floor, so it cannot be taken to a cleaner like a loose rug — we always clean it on-site, at home or in the office. We bring the equipment with us, and you do not need to lift, transport or arrange anything. The carpet is usually ready for use within about a day depending on the room’s ventilation.

What is the difference between a deep clean and a maintenance clean?

A deep clean is a thorough hot-water clean, done for a carpet washed less often or when dirt has built up — it restores the carpet to its original state. A maintenance clean is a lighter clean done at regular intervals (e.g. twice a year) that keeps an already clean carpet in good condition and extends its life. For business customers, the maintenance clean is typically done by contract outside working hours.

Do you clean loose rugs or accept carpets for drop-off cleaning?

No. We focus on fitted wall-to-wall carpets and textile floors, which we always clean on the customer’s premises — in offices, in the shared spaces of housing companies and in homes. We have no drop-off facility and no premises where carpets could be brought, so for loose rugs, rag rugs or Persian carpets it is best to turn to a rug cleaning service that collects them. If the space has loose rugs alongside the fitted carpet, mention it in your request — we assess case by case whether we can clean them on-site during the same visit.

Does office work have to stop during the cleaning?

No. We clean commercial premises outside office hours as a rule — evenings from 6 pm, weekends, or at night in large sites — and we charge no extra for evening, night or weekend work. The space is typically back in normal use the next working day. If cleaning does happen during office hours, we work area by area so only the section being treated is briefly out of use.

How soon can the office be used after cleaning?

Textile flooring is usually ready for use within about a day, which in practice means that after an evening or weekend clean the space is in normal use the next working day. Drying speed depends on the room’s ventilation and temperature. The agents we use are odourless, so staff can return to the space without waiting for smells to clear.

How do business quotes and invoicing work?

We send a written quote by email within 24 hours of your request — we do not make sales calls. The quote is based on a floor plan or a free site visit, and it states a fixed price per square metre, the scope of work and the schedule. Pricing is VAT 0 % and VAT is itemised on the invoice. We invoice by e-invoice with 14-day payment terms.

Is a one-off clean or a maintenance contract the better choice?

A one-off clean suits situations where you want to see the result first without commitment. A maintenance contract (typically twice a year) works out cheaper per square metre, keeps the carpet in consistently good condition and extends its life — the carpet rarely reaches the point where soil has settled into the base of the fibre. A contract fixes the visit rhythm in advance, so cleaning doesn’t get lost behind other facility maintenance.

Do you clean carpet tiles?

Yes. Carpet tiles are the most common floor textile in offices, and they are cleaned on-site using the same hot-water extraction method as a continuous fitted carpet. Modularity is an advantage: if a single tile is damaged or a stain will not lift, it can be replaced rather than cleaned. We tell you at the site visit which tiles are worth cleaning and which should be replaced.
